Abigale Hennings is known for incorporating fun and creativity with learning, engaging with students of all ages to help them find their passion for music. Abigale specializes in teaching voice and is comfortable working with all skill levels and ages. She also teaches piano, music theory, harmonica and handbells. She has experience working with students with special needs and learning disabilities as well as people with no prior experience in music! Her belief is that music should be an accessible and enriching part of people’s lives. Students working with Abigale develop a well rounded and comprehensive understanding of their instrument as well as proper technique and music theory, giving them a great start into the world of music.
Abigale began her studies in 2014 at the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts and focused her time on choral and operatic music. She was also a dedicated member of the LVA Handbell choir. Currently she is a senior at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas majoring in Vocal Performance. She has worked with her voice teacher Dr. Monica McCullough for over 6 years. She is the president of the UNLV Student National Association of Teachers of Singing as well as the founder and president of the UNLV Music Teachers Association. Her organizations at UNLV are dedicated to furthering knowledge of teaching and working with students to bolster music education.
She is involved with numerous local musical groups such as Harmony Handbells, a local Handbell group that performs across the valley. She is also involved with many productions with UNLV Opera and Opera Las Vegas. Finally, she is a dedicated member of the University United Methodist Church where she performs weekly with choral and solo repertoire.
