Michael New is an award-winning music educator based in Las Vegas. He earned a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance at Kennesaw State University and completed graduate studies at The University of Texas, San Antonio. He also has extensive experience coaching music theory and composition. All experience levels are welcome in his studio. Michael particularly enjoys introducing the world of music to beginners.
Michael's excellence in teaching has been recognized by the Music Teachers National Association (StAR award) and The University of Texas (special recognition). His students have also won awards including the multi-instrumentalist award at Las Vegas Academy and guitarist of the year at Legacy High School. He has previously served as adjudicator for events like the NVMEA guitar ensemble competition and remains active in the music community, collaborating with local artists and organizations.
