Elisabeth Leone is a vibrant mezzo-soprano and master’s student studying voice with Dr. Kimberly James. With the UNLV Opera, she has performed the roles of Charlotte Bronte in How Clear She Shines and Princess Tilda in The Three Feathers. Previous roles include The Baroness in Chérubin, the Third Lady in Die Zauberflöte, The Jay in The Cunning Little Vixen, and she premiered the role of Gloria Cott in A House Without a Christmas Tree with Houston Grand Opera. She received a B.M. in Vocal Performance from the University of Missouri: Kansas City.
Elisabeth has been teaching voice since 2024 and also offers piano lessons. As a voice teacher, Elisabeth’s greatest joy comes from watching her students grow—not just in technique, but in confidence, creativity, and musical curiosity. She believes that exploring a variety of musical styles is essential to becoming a well-rounded and expressive musician. Whether it’s classical, opera, choral, pop, musical theater, or something entirely new, each genre offers unique challenges and opportunities for growth. She hopes to help her students discover their own artistic voices and build a lifelong love for singing and music by encouraging them to step out of their comfort zone.
