Abrahm Joseph Garrett

Abrahm Garrett is a classically trained tenor and educator. He is experienced in teaching classical voice, choir ensembles, and beginning piano, as well as musical theatre/Broadway, art song, pop, jazz, and opera repertoire. He has been teaching music since 2020. As a performer of choral music, Abrahm has served as a member of of Northern Arizona University's Shrine of the Ages Choir (Tenor Section Leader) and Vox Montes (Assistant Conductor), 2018/2019 Regional and All-State choir, Sedona Chamber Academy Singers, Flagstaff Master Chorale, Church of the Red Rocks, along with various other ensembles.

He is finishing his degree in Music Education with an emphasis in choral education at Northern Arizona University. For his last semester he will be student teaching at Kino/Carson Jr. Highschool and Chandler High School. He has had several opportunities to perform in masterworks such as Verdi's Requiem, Haydn's Missa in Angustiis, Handel's Messiah, Judas Maccabeus, and has performed in several operas and musical theatre productions. Through his studies and participation in ensembles, Abrahm has performed around the States and South America, including in Los Angeles; Buenos Aires; San Juan (Argentina); Manhattan; Kansas; Mexico City, MX and Denver, CO.

Regardless of your age or experience level, he believes learning music is a life long endeavor and should be fun and exciting! As a teacher, he encourages students to explore their voice, identity, and creativity when singing. He believes in teaching foundational skills, quality music, and relaxation help develop solid musicianship skills and a lifelong passion for making music.

When Abrahm isn't teaching, he enjoys traveling to attend performances of choral and master works, musical theatre, and choral workshops. He encourages his students to attend to various concerts as possible to become a well rounded musician and become a lifelong listener of quality music.
