Macie Vergeire

Macie is a contemporary trained vocalist, guitar, and bass player. She is experienced in primarily teaching electric guitar and voice, as well as performance techniques. She has been teaching for over a year at three different schools that focus on contemporary music. She has been performing since the age of nine and has been professionally gigging since high school.

She has been singing and playing guitar since she was seven and was trained privately by a jazz musician in Colorado. In 2022 she entered the Popular Music Program with an emphasis in voice at Arizona State University, participating in ensembles, songwriting, and recording music. While in school she has been releasing music and performing at local venues in Phoenix.

Macie believes that learning how to use an instrument should be exciting and that everyone is capable of becoming a musician, regardless of age or experience. As a teacher she says that, “there is no ‘one size fits all’ way of learning,” and has received praise for her use of different teaching styles and methods that resonate with her students.

When Macie isn’t teaching, she enjoys attending concerts, songwriting, and rehearsing with her band or other musicians. She motivates her students to be curious about their instrument and play music with peers. There is always something new to learn about your instrument and playing with friends or peers can help them explore their creativity and create a fun community!
