Michaelangelo Henegan is a composer, performer, and educator of music in Las Vegas, Nevada. His education includes The Las Vegas Academy, Sierra Vista High School, and Oklahoma City University. After completing his high school education, Michaelangelo immediately began teaching piano and percussion to students of all ages, and he continues to teach these instruments currently. He also began accompaniment work for elementary, junior, high school and collegiate level students at this time. Michaelangelo has performed with various competitive marching percussion ensembles including The Vegas Vanguard Percussion Theater, The Academy Drum and Bugle Corps and Terminus Atlanta Percussion. After aging out of the marching percussion activity as a performing member Michaelangelo taught marching percussion as a technique specialist as we as an arranger and director. Some of these ensembles include Palmetto Percussion, Watchmen Drum and Bugle Corps and The Gold Drum and Bugle Corps.
Michaelangelo has performed as a pianist and Music Director with The Streetmosphere Show at the Venetian Hotel and Casino. He as also performed with the "Drumbots" marching percussion ensemble, The Vegas Vanguard Entertainment Drumline and The Las Vegas Golden Knights Entertainment Drumline.
Michaelangelo currently accompanies students at UNLV as well as the beginning choir at the Grace Presbyterian church directed by Lisa Elliott. He also currently performs as a pianist with a local jazz quartet called Lofee and Friends as well as various shows at the Village Theater Company including Bleach Improv, Mom's Basement and Cluelesque.
