April Kim is a Korean-American violinist and entrepreneur who draws upon her bicultural background, musical artistry, and business leadership to share the art of music, cultivate meaningful partnerships, and expand her positive impact within the community. She earned her undergraduate degree in Violin Performance from the Claire Trevor School of the Arts at the University of California, Irvine, where she was a Rawlins Scholar from 2009 to 2013.


During her studies, Ms. Kim participated in master classes with Eugene Drucker of the Emerson Quartet and Emanuel Ax of the Juilliard School through Chamber Music | OC’s Young Artist Program. Her performance experience includes appearances at Disney Concert Hall, Soka Performing Arts Center, the Barclay Theatre, and the Nixon Presidential Library & Museum. In addition, she was part of Chamber Music | OC’s Carnegie Hall Debut in 2017.


With over 17 years of teaching experience, Ms. Kim has worked with students of all ages. Her greatest strengths as an educator are her exceptional communication skills and her warm, attentive, and encouraging approach to teaching.
