Cameron Battaglia

Ms. Cameron is a classically trained violinist and pianist with a strong background in string performance and music education. She teaches violin, piano, and music theory, and works with students of all ages, with particular experience teaching children in elementary and middle school.

Ms. Cameron has been teaching music since 2020 in a variety of educational settings, including private studios, after-school programs, and classroom-based instruction. She studied violin performance at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) and performed with the Las Vegas Young Artists Orchestra, gaining extensive ensemble and performance experience. She also completed a specialized retreat for violin and viola teachers at Indiana University, one of the leading institutions for string pedagogy, where she deepened her understanding of effective string teaching methods and age-appropriate instruction.

Her teaching experience includes private lessons, small group instruction, and classroom teaching. She has taught recorder, violin, piano, and foundational music skills, developed lesson plans, selected repertoire for student performances, and communicated regularly with families to support student progress and growth.

Ms. Cameron’s teaching philosophy centers on building strong musical foundations while fostering confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of music. She believes learning music should be engaging, supportive, and tailored to each student’s individual learning style and goals. Her lessons emphasize healthy technique, musical understanding, and encouragement, helping students feel successful and motivated.
